Below is a detailed list of conditions and situations in which light therapy should be avoided:

  • Hemorrhage,
  • Clear Symptoms of a Cold (runny nose, cough, sore throat, earache),
  • Fever,
  • Acute Otitis,
  • Pneumothorax,
  • Acute Optic Neuritis,
  • Seizures,
  • Acute Sinusitis,
  • Claustrophobia (psychiatrically confirmed),
  • Post-Surgical Recovery in the Chest Area (up to 4 weeks after surgery),
  • Tuberculosis,
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) – not controlled by medication,
  • During Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy
